Top surf spots in Ireland

 I prefer staying on the solid land to surfing the unpredictable seas but when a rare opportunity arises, I can't say no. View my blog to see the best spots I have been to.

Rossnowlagh is a famous surf spot in Donegal as many of the Irish professional surfing scene has surfed here. I surfed here in the summer of 2019 when there was 10 foot waves and a terrific swell. It is a blue flag beach with a great hotel on the beach, so you can enjoy a beer after a surf. 

Other great options: 

Portrush - With the Atlantic ocean swell, this place gives a great place to surf in Northern Ireland on the beautiful Antrim Coast. 

Tullan Strand - In the seaside town of Bundoran. I surfed here in the summer of 2019 when the sun was scorching and the swell was terrific.
